Shelbourne FC has finalised our Women’s National League management setups for the 2020 season.
2019 WNL manager Dave Bell will continue in his role as senior team manager with Laura Heffernan joining the management team alongside Pat Behan.
Former Republic of Ireland U16 international manager Sharon Boyle will take charge of our U17 WNL team with Karen O’Connell continuing in her role as assistant manager.

The Club is very pleased that both of our WNL teams are now managed by coaches with international experience and with assistants who have won the WNL.

Featuring in several Ireland games, he also played in the UEFA U19 European Championships qualifiers in 2016.
Poynton has played for Dundalk FC, Bohemian FC and most recently Waterford FC and says he is “delighted” to have joined Shels.
“When I heard Shels were interested as a northside lad it made it that bit more exciting and I’m looking forward to get going,” Poynton said.
“Obviously it’s a big year for the club with a lot of history behind them but we’re definitely on the rise again.
“It was a very positive in the way Ian Morris was thinking and how it is going to go this year so I just want to be apart of it,” he added.
Morris said Poynton “comes from a fantastic upbringing of clubs.”
“He went from East Meath to Dundalk at 15, where he has been given a fantastic football education.

Shelbourne FC is delighted to announce the signing of centre-half Daniel O’Reilly.
O’Reilly, 24, won Supporter’s Player of the Year with Finn Harps in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division last season.
The defender had previous spells with Fulham FC, Bray Wanderers and Longford Town FC.
Speaking to shelbournefc.ie O’Reilly said he is “delighted to be on board.”
“Going forward, what Ian (Morris) was saying about Shels to me, it appealed to me that they don’t want to just cement a Premier Division place, that they want to push on,” he said.
“It’s very promising for me as a player to be apart of that and there’s a lot of good players involved in the squad.
“It’s a nice balance between youth and experience in the squad and there’s a lot of quality,” he added.
Shels boss Ian Morris said O’Reilly is a “fantastic signing for us.”
“He is someone we have been tracking all year, and with him winning player of the year it shows what a good year he has had,” he said.
“Daniel brings drive and professionalism to our squad. He is still a young lad, who has bags of experience already. His passing range and physical attributes will add greatly to our squad,” he added.
