As supporters continue to be restricted from grounds, we’re increasing our Patreon offering to help bring fans closer to the action.

On top of our usual weekly podcast, we will be providing new post-match video analysis from former players pitchside with the help from our wonderful volunteers.

Patreon subscribers, as well as Season Ticket holders, will also receive the match programme for our home games directly to their inboxes on the morning of the game.

Extended highlights from the SSE Airtricity League games will also be provided on the platform after the match in case you missed the live game.

Full interviews with players post-match as well as Ian Morris will also be available.

This will be on top of the current stream of archive material from throughout the club’s 125 year history.

Shels legend Dean Delany will be first up as analyst for this weekend’s game against Waterford FC as we return to league action.

As well as these features, Patreon members will have video exclusives from training during the week as well as team-news delivered to your inbox ahead of each game.

The support we received from our fans has been nothing short of amazing during the pandemic and with the continued lack of ticket revenue we hope this vital service will be continued to be welcomed by our Patrons and further expand its support.

Signing up now will give you access to a myriad of famous games throughout our history as well as 19 podcasts from the last few weeks.

The podcast only option is €5 per month while the full offering including video, archives, podcasts and match programmes is €15 per month.

If you wish to just receive the Match Programme, you can select the match programme-only option for €3 per month.

Shelbourne FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Brian McManus after a spell with Preston North End.

The 18-year-old Dubliner has signed for the upcoming 2020 SSE Airtricity League Premier Division season.

McManus, highly coveted after time at St Kevin’s Boys before Preston North End, has played in central midfield for some of the Reds friendly games ahead of the season restart.

Having come back from England, Brian told shelbournefc.ie that “the midfield is already really strong” at Tolka Park.

“We want to get as high as we can in the league. It’s a good squad, a very young squad too. I aim to work hard and try to make some appearances.

“You see it with the likes of Shane Farrell breaking in last year so it’s great to see the youth coming through,” he added.

Shels manager, Ian Morris, said McManus has “slotted straight into the squad and settled really well.”

“Brian is a fantastic addition to our squad. He is a young lad with great pedigree coming from Preston North End via St. Kevin’s boys.

“He can play in midfield and at full back. Brian has a big engine and an excellent range of passing,” he added.

WATCHLOI, the SSE Airtricity League’s new streaming platform, is now live.

We’re delighted to introduce a brand new streaming service, WATCHLOI, where Shels fans will be able to watch every SSE Airtricity League Premier Division game in 2020.

WATCHLOI is the league’s first-ever streaming service which will deliver SSE Airtricity League Premier Division football to all supporters in Ireland and around the world.

As announced previously, Shels Season Ticket holders will have access to a free streaming pass with individual codes to be sent out prior to our first live game against Waterford FC on Saturday, August 1.

The Football Association of Ireland and RTE Sport, in collaboration with GAAGO, have partnered to deliver a world class streaming platform which will guarantee supporters can watch the #GreatestLeagueInTheWorld wherever they are on watchloi.ie.

Each Premier Division fixture, as well as selected Extra.ie FAI Cup matches, will be live streamed with RTE Sport’s cameras and commentary team set to create a fantastic production for supporters to enjoy.

Season passes are available now on the watchloi.ie platform at just €55 for supporters in Ireland and €69 for the rest of the world. It will be the perfect way for supporters to support their club with revenue created set to go to each club and with over 55+ matches set to be on the platform, it is also great value.

The SSE Airtricity League is set to restart on Friday, July 31 with Derry City v Sligo Rovers to be the first match streamed on the platform, kick-off at 5.45pm.

“We’re absolutely delighted to launch our new streaming service, WATCHLOI,” said FAI Commercial & Marketing Director Mark Russell.

“Working with RTE Sport and GAAGO will guarantee that we will have a best-in-class product which SSE Airtricity League supporters will be able to enjoy around the world.

“Especially with COVID-19 restrictions, this is the ideal time to launch this service but with the revenue it will generate for the clubs, this is also a major moment for the league and a fantastic opportunity to promote and enhance the domestic game in Ireland.”

Declan McBennett, Group Head of Sport, RTÉ said: “In these uncertain times, when dedicated fans are unable to attend games in large numbers, we are delighted to bring the games directly to them via WatchLOI.

“This is a chance for the whole of the Irish footballing family to get behind the SSE Airtricity League and lend their support in every way to the clubs as the heartbeat of the association.”

Below are some questions that we believe fans will ask following the release of the platform;

Shelbourne FC is delighted to announce Alex Cetiner has signed a two-year contract with the club.

Alex has progressed through the Shelbourne FC Academy and the club is delighted he has joined our senior set up.

Joining the club as a young teenager, he has played in several sides before progressing to the senior side.

The winger had recently joined the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division set up and has seriously impressed manager Ian Morris and his coaching staff.

The 18-year-old opened his Reds account in a friendly last Friday against UCD in a 4-0 win and has played in previous friendlies for the senior team in 2020.

Speaking to shelbournefc.ie, Alex said he is “over the moon” and is pleased that his “hard work is starting to pay off.”

“I joined the academy when I was 15 and felt welcome from day one. The coaches and staff have helped me improve from the start until this moment,” he said.

“Ian (Morris) has helped me improve myself on the pitch and off the pitch how you grow as a person, so it’s been great,” he added.

Shels boss Ian Morris said: Alex is a “fantastic signing for us.”

“He has come the whole way through our underage system, from our DDSL sides, into our LOI underage set up, now into our first team. Alex is the type of player that will excite our fans, he’s quick, has a trick and can score goals.

“We have a good group of players to keep him grounded in the dressing room. There is a fantastic leadership group here to help our young players flourish and pass on good habits,” he added.
