Sunday sees our Under 17s play their final SSE Airtricity U17 League game of the season, away to St. Patrick's Athletic, at Blanchardstown IT.

Kick-off is at 12.00pm

Wexford Youths qualified to meet Shelbourne in the Quarter Final of the SSE Airtricity Shield competition, by defeating Waterford United 3-1 (away) in the first round – in which Shelbourne received a bye.

As Shels First Team have no game this weekend, this is your chance to get your Shels Football fix, by coming to Tolka Park on Saturday next for this game, which has a 2pm kick-off.

Admission is free.

Drogheda claim victory over Shels, Cobh Ramblers get victory on the road at UCD and Cabinteely make point at Waterford.

Adam Wixted scored twice to leave Drogheda needing just a point to seal their place in the First Division play-offs.

Wixted shot Drogheda in front with a crisp half volley on 20 minutes.

And the midfielder was there again to seal the win just before the hour mark.

Against the run of play, the home side broke with the ball finding Wixted who cut inside two defenders before firing to the net.

Shelbourne managed a return to winning ways by beating Athlone Town 3-0 this evening in Tolka Park. Two first half goals by the impressive Carl Walshe helped to secure Shel’s first win since July and arrested their poor run of results. A second half penalty by Jamie Doyle secured the win at the expense of Athlone.
