February 10, 2022: Shelbourne FC is delighted to confirm Hamptons Homes as our Official Main Club Partner for the second year running in a new enhanced sponsorship agreement.

Hamptons Homes were an integral part of our success in 2021 when Shels won both the SSE Airtricity League First Division and the FAI Women’s National League and continue to be a significant part of the Shelbourne family enabling us to plan for an ambitious future as they enter their third year with the Club.

As well as featuring on the front of our SSE Airtricity League Premier Division jersey for 2022, Hampton’s Homes will take sponsorship of the banners at the top of the Main Stand at Tolka Park.

The Player of the Match award will also now be named the Hamptons Homes Player of the Match decided by our LOITV match day commentators and analysts.

With Shelbourne FC deeply grateful for Hamptons Homes’ continued support throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, we are delighted to extend our digital offering with Hamptons Homes branding featuring on all forward facing platforms as well as backgrounds for match-day material.

Shelbourne FC Chief Executive Officer, David O’Connor said:We’re thrilled to continue a really amazing partnership with Kane and Joe at Hamptons Homes who have no doubt been an integral part of the recent success of Shels. We are excited to offer an even more beneficial package of rights to them as we both grow through ambition and innovation in what is an exciting future for both of us. With promotion to the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division and our WNL team looking to retain their Champions of Ireland status, there’s no doubt we will both be able to benefit from a large audience and we look forward to working with Hamptons Homes to maximise our growth in 2022.”

Shelbourne FC Commercial Director, Keith McDarby said: “Kane and Joe have shown great loyalty to the club over the last years, particularly through a very difficult period with Covid-19 being rampant, the lack of crowds and a lot of uncertainty around the country. We are really delighted to be working with them again this year and their drive and ambition to see the club progress is so encouraging. I can’t wait to see what we can do together throughout the year.

Hamptons Homes Managing Director, Kane Kearns said: “Myself and Joe, as well as the entire Hamptons Homes team, are delighted to be sponsoring Shelbourne for the upcoming season. This will be our 3rd year with the club and in that time we have built a tremendous relationship enduring highs and lows that every season brings, we have never been more devoted and excited in playing our part this time around in helping this great club get back to where it belongs.”

February 8, 2022: Shelbourne FC has today unveiled its new Away Kit for 2022 featuring the names of all its Season Ticket holders as a thank you for keeping the Club alive during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Despite being unable to attend matches for the most part of the 2021 season, Shels Season Tickets remained at the same level and proved to be a vital part of ensuring the Club could then go on to win both the SSE Airtricity League First Division and FAI Women’s National League.

Printed in subtle writing within the Dublin blue and white kit produced in association with Umbro Ireland, a large proportion of Season Ticket holders also chose to put the names of supporters who are no longer with us – a gesture which especially touched the Club demonstrating the history of the Club over our 127 years.

Images of the kit are available here

The feature was part of a wider package on offer to supporters in 2021 who were unable to attend matches. The Club felt obliged to offer a wide range of elements to add value to the package despite the lack of matches with attendances.

Also included on the kit are the names of all the volunteers within the Club, without whom, the Club would not exist.

Shelbourne Football Club once more thanks our supporter base for their incredible support with the 2022 Season Ticket number our largest ever in the Club’s 127 year history.

The jersey is available to purchase here from the Shels Club Shop.

Shelbourne FC, Chief Executive Officer, David O’Connor said:We would like to extend our extreme gratitude to all Shels fans for their support over the past two years – especially considering the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on match attendance and families finances in some cases. 2021 was a significant year for Shels as we won promotion back to the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division and our Women’s National League team became Champions of Ireland. We hope the fans will feel proud knowing it was them who helped us along the way and their names who we’ll be wearing across the country this year which is set to be a thrilling year across both men’s and women’s divisions.”

Shelbourne FC is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Jordan McEneff on loan from Arsenal FC.

The Republic of Ireland underage international, born in Derry, has progressed up the Arsenal FC Academy to sign his first professional contract in 2018 with the London Club.

The 20-year-old extended his contract with The Gunners last year having been a regular in their U23 side before an injury forced him out of action until the start of this year and has since returned to action.

A central-midfielder, Jordan also has played in an advanced midfield position and has also represented the Republic of Ireland at U17 level.

Jordan joins the Shelbourne squad ahead of our final pre-season game away to Cork City in Turners Cross in February.

Shelbourne FC Men’s First Team Head Coach Damien Duff said: Jordan is a brilliant, exciting signing and also the last player that will arrive in this window. It is a brand new squad that is hungry and desperate to succeed and the players will be brilliant for Jordan. He has amazing quality but has had a difficult time with injuries. We aim to get him fit, keep him fit and get him back to his very best.”

Speaking on his announcement, Jordan told shelbournefc.ie: “When Damien rang me it was very exciting and he understands how it is in England for me. The squad seems very exciting and the set up is very attractive. I know how good the league is and with the Club promoted recently it is going in the right direction. Most teams in the league will be really competitive and I’m looking forward to playing first team football with excellent coaching staff around the Club.”

Shelbourne FC is delighted to announce the signing of striker Dan Carr ahead of the 2022 season.

The 27-year-old joins Shelbourne having had a previously successful two-year period at Shamrock Rovers in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division in 2018 and 2019.

Alongside four international caps for Trinidad and Tobago, Carr has played for Cambridge United, Apollon Limassol FC, Huddersfield Town and Dulwich Hamlet.

The Reds striker scored 17 times in his two years in Tallaght and has previously worked with current Shels management and Luke Byrne.

Carr had played for Dulwich in 2016 before scoring 8 goals in 14 appearances for Letterhead under Jimmy Bullard before moving to Karlstad BK in Sweden.

Shelbourne FC Men’s First Team Head Coach Damien Duff said: “I am delighted that Dan has chosen us over a host of other clubs. He knows the division which is important, can create out of nothing and has an absolute edge to his game that I love. Dan has a massive hunger and desire for this season which is the reason he has settled so quickly”

Speaking on his announcement, Dan told shelbournefc.ie: “I’m here to help Shels win as many games as possible. There’s great energy in the squad and I can see there’s no fear there. I’m looking forward to playing in Tolka Park and working with Damien, Joey, David McCaillister and the whole squad and staff. I can’t wait to get going.”
