With the season kick-off almost upon us, we would like to inform our fans of some works that the club has undertaken in Tolka Park over the past number of weeks.

One of the most significant pieces of work that has been conducted in Tolka Park has been the covering of the section of the first two steps of the Riverside Stand (the steps in which there are no seats).

This decision was one which was forced upon the club as a requirement for the annual sign-off of our Stadium Certificate. From a health and safety, and insurance, perspective the club are not in a position to have any spectators standing on these steps.

We fully appreciate that this will cause disruption for our fans in the Riverside Stand, and we would like to apologize for the inconvenience that this will cause. However, from a health and safety perspective, the club had no choice other than to put this measure in place in order to ensure that no spectators were able to stand on these two steps.

We hope that you, the fans, will understand our reasoning and rationale for taking this measure, and we hope that you will work with us to ensure a safe environment for everyone in the ground.

We would strongly encourage fans to use the meshing and barriers, which have been used to cover the steps, to drape their flags and banners and to continue to create a colorful, positive atmosphere in Tolka.

Shelbourne FC would also like to remind all fans that the club continues to adopt a strict policy towards antisocial behaviour inside the ground and the throwing of missiles/objects onto the field of play.

Any supporter identified using flares inside the ground or throwing missiles/objects onto the field of play will receive a ban.

Thank you for your continued support and enjoy the game.
