Notice Re Future Travel Arrangements
WE NEED YOUR HELP !!!!!!!!
Following a meeting in Tolka Park on Wednesday night, which was attended by some members of the Board of Management, representatives of some of our supporters groups and some of those who run buses to away games, we are seeking your help in bringing to an end the sort of events which took place at and around our away fixture in Longford recently.
We are well aware that this behaviour involves only a small section of those travelling to games but we are hopeful that the greater group of those who travel to away games will get behind us in sorting out this problem.
These people are doing huge damage to this club’s reputation by their actions, aswell as costing the club financially through the potential loss of sponsors to the club and also through the fines which were imposed on us following the Longford game and also following other games in the past.
It has been decided that this club will no longer tolerate this kind of unacceptable behaviour from those travelling to away games who pass themselves off as Shels supporters.
That is why we are seeking your assistance in routing out these individuals and we are asking that you bring these people and their actions to the attention of any member of the Board of Management. You can also e mail your concerns to club@shelbournefc.ie.
Anyone found to be in breach of ground regulations will be barred from all home and away games permanently. Some of the regulations involved include:
Drunken and/or abusive behaviour towards other fans, stewards or Gardai.
Pitch encroachment.
Damage caused to property within the stadium, i.e. Seating etc.
Lighting of flares.
We are determined not to allow the good name of Shelbourne Football Club, which has been built up by so many of our great supporters over many many years, to be ruined by a small minority of people and we thank you in advance for your help and co-operation in this matter.
We have also introduced a rule which does not allow the consumption of alcohol on board buses travelling to away games and again we ask for your co-operation with us and with those organising the buses, in upholding this rule.
