Visitors to Tolka Park in July

Shelbourne will play Ipswich Town and Bradford City at Tolka Park during July.

Ipswich Town will visit on Saturday July 12th, when the kick-off will be 3pm.

The ‘Tractor Boys’ visited Tolka Park a year ago – on July 6th 2013 – and went away with a win – thanks to two goals from Waterford’s Daryl Murphy (who, incidentally collected his 11th international cap recently, in the game against Turkey, but missed out on the USA trip, returning to Portman Road, following a thigh injury received while with Martin O’Neill’s squad).

Bradford City will be guests on Saturday, July 19th. Again, the kick-off is set for 3pm.

Bradford (or the Bantams) ended up in mid-table in the Sky Bet League 1 in the season just gone.

Hopefully, Bradford will include new signing Alan Sheehan (an attacking full-back) who would be returning to the city of his birth – and his youth football, having played with Belvedere FC. Alan has played at Under 21 level for the Republic of Ireland.

Dublin born Mark Yeates – who is the son of former Shelbourne star, Stephen (1984-88) – and Co. Donegal born Carl McHugh (who had a loan spell at Dundalk in 2011) are two members of the 2013-14 side.
