On Sunday June 22nd Tolka Park played host to a very special cup final. A Shelbourne XI took on the United Warriors Special Olympics club in the Leo Keogh Cup Final.
The annual game pits a Shelbourne team of fans, club staff, and volunteers against the Special Olympics club in a charity match with all proceeds raised going to the Warriors.
Shelbourne kit man Johnny Watson and Shels fanatic Stephen Fagan came up with the idea over 6 years ago. The prize on offer in the final is the Leo Keogh Cup, the trophy is in memory of Stephen’s cousin who lost his life in a car accident.
