Introduction
Tolka Park is one of Ireland’s most historic football grounds, home to decades of sporting heritage, community pride, and unforgettable memories. As a cornerstone of Irish football, it has hosted countless matches, community events, and moments that have shaped the history of Shelbourne Football Club. The realisation of a 250 Year Lease on the ground is a proud moment for our club, but along with the ownership comes enhanced responsibility and cost for ongoing operation, maintenance and improvement.
To ensure this cherished venue remains safe, vibrant, and functional for generations to come, we are establishing the Tolka Park Fund — a dedicated donation initiative supporting the ongoing operation, care and improvement of the ground.
Purpose of the Fund
The Tolka Park Fund exists to secure the long-term sustainability of the stadium by funding maintenance, essential upkeep, repairs, and enhancements.
This fund is not for profit and is managed transparently to ensure all contributions go directly toward maintaining and improving the stadium’s facilities. Quarterly reports will go to all season ticket holders through the Fans Advisory Board updating on how money has been collected and been spent in the period.
Why the Fund Exists
Over the years, Tolka Park has aged gracefully — but as with any historic venue, ongoing maintenance is critical. Structural wear, maintenance and operational costs, and the need for modern safety and accessibility standards place increasing pressure on club resources.
