Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich Town will, once again this year, visit Tolka Park as part of their preparation for the coming season.
This will be the third year in a row that ‘Town’ have played the Reds at the Drumcondra venue.
The trip to Ireland has been a constant during Mick’s tenure at Portman Road, and they will spend the week training here, finishing up with the game against Shels.
It is likely that their two signings from Shelbourne – Dylan Connolly and Adam McDonnell – will be part of the travelling party and play against their former colleagues.
The game is set for Saturday, July 11th, with kick-off scheduled for 3.00pm.
