Shelbourne FC appoint Barry Mocke as new CEO

Shelbourne Football Club are delighted to confirm the appointment of Barry Mocke as the club’s Chief Executive Officer.

Having successfully been involved in the running of several businesses in various sectors, Barry joins Shelbourne with a wealth of experience in particular in high-performance sports industries, having held senior positions at a variety of organisations including in Cycling South Africa and Balderstone Sports Institute.

Chairman Andrew Doyle said: “Barry has been working in prominent, leadership roles in sport and business for many years and has a lot of valuable experience, knowledge and skills that will add substantially to the club.

“We are absolutely delighted to have secured the services of someone of the calibre of Barry and believe he will play an integral role in enhancing and accelerating the continued growth of the club, both on, and off, the pitch. We are excited to have Barry on board and are looking forward to working closely with him in delivering upon our strategic plans for the club over the coming years.”

Barry Mocke said: “I am very honoured and thrilled to be joining the Shelbourne FC team at this exciting stage of the club’s journey. My interactions with the directors have been very positive and I am appreciative to be able to spend some time with Dave O’Connor before he leaves us.
