Shelbourne FC announce international partnership with Volta Rangers FC

Shelbourne FC is excited to announce a unique international partnership with Volta Rangers FC, a growing Division One Ghanaian football club.

The new multi-faceted partnership with Volta Rangers FC aims to foster and develop mutual beneficial football development strategies between both clubs.

Amidst other objectives, the partnership will see promotion of exchange programmes between the clubs to optimize coaching and player talent development.

As part of the partnership, Shelbourne FC have appointed a Ghanaian-Irish scout domiciled in Ireland – Jonathan D. Ahiekpor, to serve as the partnership liaison person and to be responsible for identifying players for trials to be considered by Shelbourne’s football department.

In welcoming the partnership, the out-going CEO of Shelbourne – David O’ Connor said:

“Having had an extended period of time developing strong relationships between both clubs, including a visit to Ghana last year, it is great to finally be able to announce this incredibly exciting strategic partnership with Volta Rangers FC.
