Lorcan Fitzgerald

Lorcan Fitzgerald joined the Reds for the third time in February 2018, having joined West Ham from Shels in 2006. Lorco again joined us from Sporting Fingal in March 2011 and was part of the team that won promotion, though he missed out on the FAI Cup final against Sligo Rovers through injury. At the end of the 2012 season he joined St. Patrick’s Athletic.

Lorcan spent three seasons at Bohemians FC. The left back joined the Reds once more in 2018. He re-signed with Shelbourne for the 2019 season, putting pen to paper at the start of November.

Lorcan made 25 appearances, bagging three goals on the way, in the 2019 First Division title-winning season – winning the Supporters’ Player of the Year trophy. As captain, he scored the crucial third goal in the famous 3-1 victory away to Drogheda United FC to secure promotion to the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.

Lorco, after giving birth to his first child in October 2019, re-signed with the Reds for the 2020 season.
