Dan Byrne was part of the Bohemians Under 19 squad for the 2011/12 season. He took part in the senior side’s pre-season preparation for their 2012 season and made his debut for them in a losing game against Shamrock Rovers in the Leinster Senior Cup in March.
He then joined Kilbarrack United before returning to Dalymount in July 2013, where he made just four league appearances before season’s end. He was re-signed for the 2014 season, but because of injury, his season was cut short playing in just 17 games that season.
Dan was sidelined for much of the following 2015 season, making just two appearances from the bench. He was, however, signed again for the 2016 season and played in 26 of the club’s 33 league games.
He re-signed with Bohemians for both the 2017 and 2018 seasons making 27 and 21 league appearances respectively.
He signed with Shelbourne on November 6, 2018 for the 2019 season. Despite a couple of hampering injuries, Dano played in some crucial games for the Reds as we achieved promotion to the Premier Division.
