Rachel is a cultured midfielder who excels at all aspects of the game. The former Irish international is now over a decade in the red of Shelbourne and has become synonymous with the club. She has won it all in the domestic game and still has the hunger and the capability to deliver top-quality performances. Rachel is a leader on and off the pitch and is beloved by her teammates as well as by the fans of the Real Reds. A strong, physical but also calming presence in midfield, Rachel has an astute awareness of how to predict the play and control the tempo. An advocate for standards in the women’s game, Rachel leads by example and is now as much a role-model as she is a feared opponent.

Rachel was called upon many times during the 2025 season and was never found wanting. The stability and assuredness of her performances belied her years as she rolled back the clock in the heart of Shelbourne’s engine-room. Having come close to multiple trophies last season, Rachel will certainly be aiming to go one better in 2026.
