Over a decade spent in the red of Shelbourne. The only club captain supporters have ever known. “Pearlo” is a legend in her own lifetime. Transcending any boundaries between the women’s or the men’s game, Pearl Slattery has become a beloved Shelbourne institution.

As captain Pearl has lifted three FAI Cups and two League titles as well as leading the club to victory in European competition. Yet still her hunger, passion and desire to win remains unabated. Despite personally having a very successful 2025 season, where she led from the heart of defence, chipping in with five league goals, Pearl will not have been satisfied with finishing in second place and with no silverware to the club’s name beyond the President’s Cup.

Pearl will see 2026 and a fresh start under new manager Sean Russell as a huge opportunity to, once again, lead Shelbourne to greatness on the national stage.
