A product of the Shelbourne FC Academy, Katie returns to the Reds having garnered some valuable first-team experience whilst first playing for Bohemians and later for Wexford FC. The talented goalscorer aided the Gypsies to two cup finals in 2025 and proved that she has what it takes to score goals in the topflight. An injury blighted move to Wexford followed but Katie now returns home to the Reds looking to establish herself as a goal-threat for the All-Island Cup champions for the remainder of the season and beyond.
Speaking on her return to Tolka Park, McCarn said: “I’m so excited to be back at Shels and to be part of such a talented squad. The girls and staff have all been so welcoming, and I’m really looking forward to getting to work and doing everything I can to help the team finish the season strong.”
