“Shelbourne find the goal! Harry Wood! The jersey’s off!!” The immortal words uttered by Des Curran live on RTÉ when Harry Wood, the young Leeds lad, fired Shelbourne FC to their 14th Premier Division title and himself into the history books.

Having first arrived on loan from Hull City in July of 2023, Harry exploded onto the League of Ireland scene with his dynamic running and his eye for goal. On July 1st 2024 the Shelbourne fanbase rejoiced as Harry signed a permanent deal with the Reds. That season culminated with the fairytale finish where his goal brought the title to Tolka for the first time since 2006!

Not content with being remembered for that one magical moment, Harry redoubled his efforts in 2025 and gave his most accomplished season in red to date. The twenty-three-year-old contributed a massive nine goals and five assists during the league campaign as well as a huge goal away to Linfield as Shels qualified for the league phase of European competition for the first time ever.

No doubt the fans will be more eager than ever to see what Harry has in store for the 2026 season.
