The Ringsend native arrived at Tolka Park in December 2024 after a period with Derry City. Daniel is a tricky wide player who possess pace and attacking flair.
A previous league and FAI Cup winner, Daniel was able to lend his experience throughout the domestic and European travails that Shels went through in 2025. Sometimes utilised as an orthodox winger and at times as a wing-back, Kelly proved an able candidate for both roles. In nineteen league appearances, Daniel chipped in with two goals and an assist in 2025.
Hampered at times by injury in early in 2025, fans saw the best of Daniel later in the season. Kelly will surely be looking to start strongly in 2026 and pick up where he left off.
