A Commemorative Plaque, celebrating the foundation of Shelbourne Football Club, 120 years ago, to be unveiledby Dublin City Council.
A plaque to commemorate the founding of Shelbourne F.C. in 1895 will beunveiled by Dublin’s Lord Mayor, Ardmhéara Críona Ní Dhálaigh, on an exterior wall of Slattery’s (formerlyNolan’s) Pub beside Shelbourne Road after which the club is named.
The famous pub, situated at a busy junction on Grand Canal Street, isopposite Haddington Road which features the historic Beggar’s Bush Barracksand sits between South Lotts Road (Shelbourne Park) and Bath Avenue. For convenience, a map is availableHERE, courtesy of Google Maps
