Match night information

Posted on

We’re extremely excited to be back to SSE Airtricity League Premier Division action this Friday night with a Dublin derby against St Patrick’s Athletic at Tolka Park.

Ahead of this special occasion, we would like to update fans and match attendees on regulations and logistical processes before Friday night.

Season Tickets

We have been blown away by the uptake in Season Tickets so far this year which has amounted to the highest we’ve ever had since we were founded in 1895.

With thanks to our volunteers we have been processing these orders and another batch has been sent out on Monday February 14. If you have not received your card by Friday, your name will be on the Season Ticket register list at the home entrance turnstile granting you entry – please bring photo ID with you to assist the process in this case.

We would also urge supporters to arrive at the ground early to avoid congestion as the game is set to sell out.

Pyrotechnics

As we approach the 2022 season, our new manager Damien Duff, his back-room team and his squad are looking to our fans to ensure Tolka Park is a fortress for the upcoming season of Premier Division football. For this, we look to our fans, whom we have missed dearly throughout the pandemic. Full crowds at Tolka are back and we need your help.

Last month, we were delighted to announce the formation of the Independent Supporters Committee, to enhance dialogue between the club and supporters, to understand all relevant matters affecting our supporters and to ensure input from fans. In this regard, we have a notice regarding the use of flares.

We are now bringing to the attention of our fans that the use of flares is having a substantial financial impact on the club, thus reducing the squad budget. We appreciate that flares add atmosphere and colour to match night, but the risk involved, both in terms of health and safety, as well as financial, far outweighs the justifiable benefit. Therefore, it has been decided that a new zero tolerance will be implemented. We would ask fans to self police this new policy, to do what is best for the club. Although we hope intervention is not required by security personnel, they have been given the instruction to remove fans who put the rest of the fans in jeopardy. Any fans evicted will be given a ban for the 2022 season, which we hope we never have to do.

Once again, we thank our fans for bringing this matter to our attention and look forward to making Tolka Park a venue no opposition will want to visit.

Thank you and see you on Friday.
