Shelbourne Football Club is delighted to announce that Kameron Ledwidge has signed a new deal with the club.

The defender has put pen to paper on a contract that keeps him at Tolka Park for the 2023 season.

The 21-year-old has been a key figure for the Reds since joining the club. He’s made 22 appearances this season, including 13 starts.

A highly rated and versatile defender, the Dubliner joined the Reds at the tail end of last season and helped the club clinch the SSE Airtricity League First Division title.

The 21-year-old made eight appearances for Shels on the way to the league title. Prior to coming home to Dublin to sign for the Reds, Kameron played for Southampton FC.

The left-sided defender has also represented the Republic of Ireland at underage international level at all age grades including U21.

Damien Duff, Shelbourne FC Head Coach said: “It is important that we keep signing back our good young players that know and are used to our demands. Kameron has amazing attributes that are eye-catching. His pace, power and left foot are top class. We will continue to look after him and improve him. Kameron is delighted he is staying and so are we.”

Kameron Ledwidge said: “I’m delighted to sign a new deal with Shels, I’m really enjoying my football here. The club gave me an opportunity when I came back from the UK, and I’m grateful for the faith the manager has shown in me. I’m excited to be a part of what’s happening here and really happy to commit to Shels for next season.”
