Jake Donnelly Re-Signs for 2015

Manager Kevin Doherty has today re-signed Jake Donnelly for the 2015 Season.

Jake played with Home Farm in the 2012/13 season and Shelbourne were delighted to get his signature for the Under 19s, as several clubs tried to sign him.

Jake is an exciting player with bundles of skill and has an eye for goal. He has played at centre forward, but is a most capable midfielder also, where he played most often for the Under 19s.

From early on the Team Management were confident that he would break into the first team squad and he showed early signs of this when he played games in each of the Leinster Senior and FAI Cup in the 2013 season.

Jake became part of Johnny McDonnell’s First Team squad for the 2014 season, during which he played on 16 games – 13 in the League (3 from the bench) and one each in the EA Cup, Leinster Senior Cup and FAI Cup. He scored once in the league – in the 3-0 win over Wexford Youths at the end of June.

Jake becomes the 10th player to be signed up for the coming season, joining Greg Murray, Adam O’Connor, Ryan Robinson, Mark Sanford, Philly Hughes, Alan O’Sullivan, Gareth Coughlan, Daire Doyle and Colm Crowe – all already announced.

We will post further signing when they are confirmed.
