Shelbourne FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Eoin Smith as our new Marketing Executive.
A lifelong Shels fan, Eoin brings a wealth of experience and expertise in both marketing and sports media to the club, making him a valuable addition to our growing off field team.
Smith has held roles at Sportsfile, Basketball Ireland and Intrepid Spirits. A familiar face to Shels fans, the Dublin native served as the Club Photographer at Shelbourne FC, capturing the essence of the Reds including jersey launches, merchandise releases, and player signings.
Smith further honed his marketing skills as a Trade Marketing Executive at Intrepid Spirits, where he led campaigns for multiple drinks brands, with a particular focus on the Irish market.
His media and communications experience at Basketball Ireland involved producing various forms of content to promote the sport in Ireland, along with his involvement in the organisation’s rebrand and website development.
He’s also done freelance photography work for top-tier UK football clubs, news publications, and national sporting bodies.
Eoin holds a Masters Degree in Sports Marketing and Sponsorship and a Post Grad Diploma in Sports Marketing and Sponsorship from the Johan Cruyff Institute. He has also earned a Diploma in Professional Photography Practice from the Photography Institute.
Smith will work closely with CEO Barry Mocke, Shareholder Brian McGovern and Head of Media and Communications Darren Cleary, who leads the club’s marketing and communications efforts.
