Dublin City Council debates Dalymount deal

Last Monday evening, June 8th, Dublin City Council debated the proposed deal where they intend to purchase Dalymount Park for around 45 minutes. There was a broad welcome for the proposal from the Councillors, although some did ask questions about the details of the project. Many of those that spoke emphasised the importance of including Shelbourne FC in the plans and both the Lord Mayor and Assistant City Manager, Brendan Kenny, assured the meeting that “the door remains open.”

We are grateful to all the Councillors who spoke on the club’s behalf, emphasising the club’s history and importance to the city.
