Craig Walsh Signs

Craig Walsh was today announced as Kevin Doherty’s lastest signing.

Having played his Schoolboy Football at Lourdes Celtic and Cherry Orchard, Craig joinedShamrock Rovers in January 2010after a brief TV Career on Sky’s “Football’s Next Star”, where he came fourth. His First Team opportunities at Rovers were limited to games in the Leinster Senior Cup and he went ‘on loan’ to Longford Town in July ’10.

Between joining in July and the end of the season, Walsh made eight league appearances, which led to him being signed on a permanent deal by the Strokestown Road club for 2011.

Craig was with Longford for two seasons, during which he made 31 league appearances and he left the club at the end of 2012.

February 2013 saw Craig join the ‘Students’ at UCD. He made 26 appearances that season but moved to Bohemians for the 2014 season.

Having made 22 league appearances for Owen Heary’s Gypsies during the season, he left the Dalymount club in November ’14

Walsh was part of the PFAI Squad that took part in the FifPro in Oslothis month, in which Ireland cameendedin second place to Finland
